If you are expecting a new baby and you’re interested in coming to Dowd Pediatrics, please call our main number to sign up for one of our monthly pre-natal forums. The pre-natal forum is a presentation by one of our doctors which will be informative and give you a chance to tour our office. If you prefer, a private meeting with one of our pediatricians may also be scheduled.

Once you deliver your baby, simply tell your OB provider that you have chosen a Dowd pediatrician, and our office will be notified that we have a new baby. If you deliver at Winchester Hospital, one of our pediatricians will meet you and examine your baby the morning after the baby is born. If you deliver at a different hospital, don’t worry! A hospital pediatrician will examine your baby, and he or she will tell you when you should make your first appointment at Dowd. The baby’s first appointment in our office is usually a few days after you go home from the hospital. Regular well baby visits during the first year are then scheduled at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9 and 12 months.

If you have older children and are interested in bringing your children to Dowd Medical, you may arrange a meeting with one of our doctors at any time. If you choose a Dowd pediatrician, simply request a copy of your child’s medical records and bring the records to our office before your first appointment.
