Dear patients and families,

After much thought and reflection, I have decided to retire at the end of 2025. It has been my great privilege and honor to serve as your children’s pediatrician for the past 25 years.

​

While it is difficult to imagine no longer being your doctor, I am looking forward to this next chapter which I hope will include more time with my family, travel and opportunities to volunteer.

​

I want to sincerely thank you for the trust and kindness you have shown me over the years. Our newest physician, Dr. Leened Velazquez, will be joining our practice on October 20th, and she and I will be working together to ensure a smooth transition of care for all of my patients. I have full confidence that you will be in the kind and capable hands of my colleagues at Dowd.
