How to Become a Patient

Caring for children and adolescents

If you are expecting a new baby and you’re interested in coming to Dowd Pediatrics, please call our main number to sign

up for one of our monthly pre-natal forums.

This forum is a presentation by one of our pediatric providers which will answer your questions and give you a chance to tour our office. If you choose Dowd, simply tell your OB provider.

If you have older children and are interested in bringing your children to Dowd Medical Pediatrics, simply request a copy of your child's medical records and bring the record to our office before scheduling your first appointment. Records can be faxed to (781) 944-2276, emailed to medrecords@dowdmed.com, or dropped off in person.

If you deliver at Winchester Hospital, our office will be notified that we have a new baby.  One of our pediatric providers will meet you and examine your baby the morning after the baby is born and every morning that you are in the hospital.

If you deliver at a different hospital, don’t worry! A hospital pediatrician will examine your baby, and he or she will tell you when you should make your first appointment at Dowd.

The baby’s first appointment in our office is usually a few days after you get home from the hospital. Regular well baby visits during the first year are then scheduled at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9 and 12 months.

If you have older children and are interested in bringing your children to Dowd Medical Pediatrics, you may arrange a meeting with one of our providers at any time.  If you choose Dowd Medical, simply request a copy of your child's medical records and bring the record to our office before scheduling your first appointment.  We should have your previous records before you are seen for any medical appointment.  Records can be faxed to 781 944-2276, emailed to medrecords@dowdmed.com, or dropped off in person.
